Upon the many times that I have realized that I have not blogged in quite a long time, a few different emotions have come to the surface - feelings like shame, embarrassment or frustration. But lately, I've felt motivation (finally!). It is very easy to allow the negative feelings to take over when we slack… Continue reading My Dear Blog, It’s Been a Year (!)

When Adapting Becomes a Bad Thing
I've always prided myself on being adaptable. If I have plans to clean the house but a friend wants to get together, I'll prioritize the friend. If I'm working on a project at work and someone needs help, I typically drop my project to help. I think being adaptable is a good thing - the… Continue reading When Adapting Becomes a Bad Thing
Thriving Over Surviving

If you are in a good head space, you are able to better help those important to you when they need it most.

Walking the Talk
A few weeks back, I was talking to my students about "living in congruence." We were covering the Social Change Model of Leadership which is the idea that we can positively impact those around us whether we have the positional title of "leader" or not. The theory is that a leader is anyone who makes… Continue reading Walking the Talk

A Mom Moment – Sleep Deprivation
Just like a yoga practice is a continual practice, so is finding balance between work and life.
